2. From the outside it looked like a long black coffin, "there is no beauty that we should desire Him" (Isaiah 53:2), but inside it was beautiful, glorious and holy: A symbol of His divinity hidden inside His humanity.
3. The outer court symbolized the earth (that is where the cross was, i.e. the altar of burnt sacrifice) and the Tabernacle symbolizes heaven (where the atonement is made, i.e. the blood was taken into the building, Jesus ministers in the Heavenly Sanctuary).
